CAST
Charlie MacRae-Tod (Orestes)
Charlie MacRae-Tod is an actor based between Devon and London. He trained on the MA Classical Acting course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and works in theatre and film.
He recently appeared as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. His screen work includes Persuasion (Netflix) and independent feature films. Alongside his acting work, Charlie is interested in land-based rehearsal practices and pilgrimage as a creative methodology.
Lily Ockwell (Fury/Choreographer)
Lily Ockwell, originally from California, is a performer and director of performance. She’s worked with Punchdrunk since 2011 in Sleep No More, NYC and Shanghai; The Drowned Man, London; The Burnt City, in London and is the voice of their new show Lander. She performed and directed in immersive shows The Lost Supper, at the McKittrick Hotel, Faena Theater’s The Cook The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover Miami; Third Rail Projects's The Grand Paradise Brooklyn, Felix Barret's LUNA LUNA at the Shed and Midnight at the Palace at Edinburgh Fringe. She’s toured with dance theater productions by Adam Barruch, Austin Goodwin, Luke Murphy, Martha Clarke, David Dorfman, Lisa Race, Kyle Abraham, Vinicius Salles and Gina Gibney. As an Artistic Director, she created many large scale immersive productions for the McKittrick Hotel, The Manderley Bar, Fountain Theater, Lululemon, and Panasonic. She’s appeared in the television series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the film, After Yang. She holds a BA from Connecticut College in Dance and French.
Anja Cilia (Iphigenia)
Anja is a British actor with Spanish and Maltese heritage. She trained at Mountview and with the National Youth Theatre. She grew up on stage but in recent years has worked more heavily on screen. Notably, working on productions such as Eastenders, Call The Midwife and Punchdrunk & HBO’s The Third Day. Anja has several projects due for release later this year and is very excited to be working with the wonderful team at Witness.
Zoë McWhinney (Cassandra)
Graduate of “Visual Theatre in French Sign Language” by École de Théâtre Universelle in 2020. Previous work at Shakespeare’s Globe includes A Night In Sign at Sam Wanamaker Theatre. Zoe worked on Julius Caesar as a director (2023). She also is the Silver BSL poet laureate for 2023-2024 and has consulted for the RSC on BSL. Other Theatre: Barrier[s] UK tour for Deafinitely Theatre (2025); Raymond Antrobus’ Can Bears Ski (2024 theatrical adaptation); the LA Philharmonic production of Fidelio with Deaf West at the Barbican Centre (2024); Margie in Lilies On The Land (2022); the title role in Polka Theatre’s adaptation of Red Riding Hood, Red (Polka theatre, 2020). Screen credits: Black & White (2025); the lead role of Loane in the award-winning short film Le Chéri Parfait (Illumination Studios 2020); Liz in the Lumo TV’s hit Deaf sitcom Small World. Further theatre credits include Aislin/David in Everyday tour by Deafinitely Theatre (2022), Princess Rose in CAST theatre’s Sleeping Beauty pantomime (2022), Iconoclast at Stanley Arts with Zoo & Co (2022), 48% in Torshovteatret, Norway (2020), Fisherman’s Friend at the MAC, Belfast (March 2024). Zoe is Co-Writer for Deaf Republic, which played at the Royal Court Theatre & the Dublin Theatre Festival to great acclaim in 2025.
Georgie Last (Helen)
Since graduating from Performers College, Georgie has worked as a Dancer/Singer with Carnival Cruise Line, appeared in ITV’s Grace, and most recently played the role of Chef in the immersive production of The Polar Express. She is delighted to be returning to immersive performance and to be part of this new production.
Jack Aldisert (Janitor, Delivery Man)
Jack Aldisert is an actor, a director, a playwright, and co-founder of Deadweight Theatre. His award-winning interactive performance for a single audience member, 'The Manikins: a work in progress', was hailed as a "masterpiece" by Broadway World and “the best immersive show of 2024” by Immersive Rumours. Other recent acting/directing credits include a site-specific Hedda Gabler, and An Interview, an interactive performance set at a job interview, both with Deadweight. He is currently on a playwriting attachment at the Royal Court Theatre.
Garrett Pennery (Menelaus, Voice of Aegisthus)
Garrett trained at East 15 Acting School and graduated in 1987. He recently worked with much younger actors on the production The Polar Express who weren’t even born when he left acting school! Theatre credits in the first 13 years of his acting career included WHALE (National Theatre) TIES THAT BIND (Trestle Theatre) BARNUM (West End and tour) DOCTOR DOLITTLE (West End). Garrett made a career change from 2001 – 2022 and attempted to make the streets of London a safer place. Hanging up his superhero cape to return to his acting career, Garrett is also the ‘go to’ person if you want to learn to dance to rock ‘n’ roll with his 3 jive dance classes every week and his social media videos of tutorials and dance demos.
Daniel Harray (Agamemnon)
Daniel has previously appeared in Witness shows “The Visitation,” “Noirtown,” “Found Footage,” and the original 2021 production of Ritual in New York. Other acting credits include off-Broadway: “The 39 Steps” (Union Square Theatre); regional: “Million Dollar Quartet,” “Our Town,” and “Moriarty” (Arrow Rock Lyceum Theare); “Murder on the Orient Express” (Alabama Shakespeare Festival); “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “Into the Woods” (Santa Cruz Shakespeare); “The Importance of Being Earnest” (The Old Globe); “Twelfth Night,” “The Beard of Avon” (Portland Center Stage); “Don Juan,” “The Beaux’ Stratagem” (Shakespeare Theatre Company); “Wit” (Seattle Repertory Theatre); film/TV: “Orange is The New Black,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” Training: Northwestern University; Shakespeare Theatre Academy.
Virginia Logan (Clytemnestra)
Virginia previously appeared in “The Visitation” with Witness, as well as the original 2021 production of Ritual in New York. Other credits include “Ann Hamilton’s Event of a Thread” (Park Avenue Armory), Circle Mirror Transformation (Immediate Theatre Project), Medea (Ancient Drama Festival), The Graces (SOAK Festival Workshop). Training: Arizona State University, MFA Ohio State University.
Alexandra Scott (Electra)
Alexandra Scott is delighted to be returning to Witness, having previously worked with the company on The Island in 2023. They are a 2023 Mountview graduate. Recent credits include ITV’s Trigger Point and Dayjob Theatre’s The Strangelmans.
Michael Stafford Wells (Voice of Tantalus)
Michael is a graduate of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where he earned his Master’s in Acting. He also spent several years in Los Angeles, studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since graduating, Michael has appeared in numerous films, commercials, and Fringe theatre productions. His recent credits include performing in Austria with Vienna’s English Theatres production of Sherlock Holmes the Sign of the Four and Les Enfants Terribles immersive production of The Jury Experience.

Michael Bontatibus (Playwright)
Michael Bontatibus is the Artistic Director of Witness. Previous site-specific plays with the company include The Double (LIT Immersive), The Island (Archway Hospital), Last Days of the Tsars (Stimson-Green Mansion), Noirtown (Rave Theatre Festival), and The Visitation (Wyckoff House). Other theatrical work has been staged with The Flea, Joust Theatre Company, RADD Festival, Theatre Off Jackson Solo Performance Festival, and the Young Gotham Arts Series, among others.
Elizabeth M. Stewart (Lighting Design)
Elizabeth M. Stewart is a New York City based lighting designer and interdisciplinary artist whose work has been seen in New York, Seattle, Philadelphia, and more, in venues ranging from art gallery basements to off-Broadway theatres. Recent design credits include Snow Dance (New Orange), The Republic: Socrates in the Metaverse (Meta-Phys Ed), Footloose (Cape Fear Regional Theatre), Ride the Cyclone (Hangar Theatre), Daydream Tutorial (LaMaMa Puppet Festival), and Gas (Theatre Row).
