Michael Arellano (Performer)

Michael Arellano is a performing artist hailing from Rochester, Michigan. He is an alumnus of Western Michigan University and has worked as a collaborator with Whim W’Him, GroundWorks DanceTheater, BocaTuya, BLUESCREEN, KDV Performance Group, and more. He has performed works by Rauf ‘Rubberlegz’ Yasit, Aszure Barton, Kyle Abraham, Ihsan Rustem, Emilie Leriche, and many others. Michael is passionate about utilizing dance as a powerful, connective force.

maia melene d'urfé (Performer)

maia melene d’urfé is a Seattle dancer and choreographer who creates movement as a genuine expression of their sensations, convictions, fears, and musings. They find their voice through quality of movement, their language through physical facility, and flow through melody and rhythm, all in service of investigating facets of the human condition and how we change and respond to difference and instability within the self, interpersonal relationships, and wider culture.

Carol Davis (Performer)

Carol (she/her) is a freelance dancer, teacher and Pilates instructor based in Seattle, WA. She holds a BFA in Modern Dance from Texas Christian University where she trained in performance, choreography and pedagogy. Most recently, she has performed with artists such as Tariq Mitri, Dance Undercurrent, Emily Schoen Branch and Marlo Martin.

Ashley Menestrina (performer/choreographer)

Ashley Menestrina (she/her) is a Seattle-based dancer and choreographer. She has performed self-choreographed solo creations in eight countries while receiving multiple awards from festival juries. Ashley has since collaborated with many local artists on a wide variety of projects and is incredibly excited to be choreographing for the premiere of The Double by Witness.

Josiah Miller (performer)

Josiah Miller is an actor of 19 years. He is pleased to be making his immersive theater debut with “The Double”. He is known for theater and film work in the Washington area which you can find more about at www.josiahcmiller.com. He is thankful for his supremely creative fiancée Katie Wallace.

Michael Bontatibus (playwright)

Michael is the Artistic Director of Witness. Previous projects with Witness include Ritual (Village Works), The Island (Archway Hospital), Noirtown (Rave Theater Festival), Last Days of the Tsars (Stimson-Green Mansion), The Visitation (The Wyckoff House) and Found Footage (Colonels Row). Other theatrical work has been staged with The Flea, Joust Theatre Company, Theatre Off Jackson Solo Performance Festival, and RADD Festival, among others.

Amanda Balter (stage manager)

Amanda is a Seattle-born and raised Stage Manager. She is so excited to join her first immersive production! Recently, she has been at Seattle Opera as the Production Assistant and at Spectrum Dance Theater working as a Stage & Production Manager. When not managing a stage, she is found reading fantasy or cozy gaming the day away!

Matthew Sythandone (assistant stage manager)

Matthew “Matty” Sythandone (he/him) is a native Seattleite, burlesque performer, actor, and graduate of Cornish College of the Arts. Former production credits include: The Burlesque Nutcracker: Land of the Sweets, Sound Operator at Seattle Erotic Arts Festival, and Production Assistant for Jazzercize at ACT Theatre. Elizabeth M. Stewart (lighting designer)

Elizabeth M. Stewart is a New York City based lighting designer whose work has been seen in New York, London, Philadelphia, and more, in venues ranging from art gallery basements to off-Broadway theatres. Trey McGee (sound designer)

Trey McGee is a sound designer and composer based in Brooklyn, NY. He has created sound and music for theater and film around the world. Previous credits with Witness include Ritual, The Island, Noirtown, and Last Days of the Tsars.
